The Department of Social Responsibility demonstrates Christ’s love through practical service, justice, compassion, and advocacy. Rooted in faith and committed to serving vulnerable and marginalized communities, the department works across Sri Lanka through clergy, lay leaders, partners, and community organisations.

Children & Community Development
Supporting vulnerable children through education, nutrition, healthcare, emotional wellbeing, spiritual development, and safe community spaces.
Disability & Inclusion
Promoting dignity, equal opportunities, inclusive education, independence, and participation for people with disabilities and special needs.
Justice & Peace
Building bridges between diverse communities through interfaith dialogue, reconciliation, peacebuilding, and community engagement.
Environmental Care
Encouraging environmental responsibility, sustainable living, climate resilience, and practical care for God’s creation.
Social Empowerment
Working with vulnerable communities to strengthen livelihoods, education, healthcare, human rights, and social inclusion.

Our Mission
Deaf Link is committed to improving the quality of life of Deaf persons and people with
disabilities by promoting inclusion, independence, and equal access to education, employment, healthcare, and community life. Working alongside families, schools, churches, government institutions, and partner organisations, the ministry strives to create opportunities that foster confidence, self-reliance, and social participation.
Areas of Ministry
Deaf Link serves communities across Sri Lanka through a range of programmes that may
include:
- Inclusive education and educational support for children with disabilities.
- Early intervention and developmental support.
- Sign language education and communication training.
- Vocational training and livelihood development.
- Leadership training and empowerment programmes.
- Community-based rehabilitation and self-help groups.
- Awareness programmes promoting disability inclusion and accessibility.
- Counselling, family support, and spiritual fellowship.
- Partnerships that promote equal opportunities and social inclusion.
Deaf Link currently carries out its ministry for people with disabilities in partnership with Uniting World and runs Diamond Stars, a center for students with disabilities in Wattala.
