Welcome to Methodist Women's Fellowship (MWF) Department!
The Methodist Women’s Fellowship (MWF) of the Methodist Church in Sri Lanka is a vibrant community of women committed to growing in faith, serving others, and strengthening the witness of the Church. Bringing together Methodist women from across the Connexion, the Fellowship provides opportunities for spiritual growth, Christian fellowship, leadership development, and meaningful service within the Church and the wider community.
Since its formation in 1950, the All Island Methodist Women’s Council has united Methodist women across Sri Lanka under one body, coordinating ministry across districts while nurturing a legacy of faith, prayer, resilience, and service. Today, the Fellowship continues to build on that foundation by equipping women to live out the Gospel in their homes, churches, and communities.

Inspired by the Samaritan woman’s encounter with Jesus and her witness to others (John 4:39), the Fellowship encourages women to deepen their relationship with Christ and share His love through faithful living and compassionate service.
Mission
Programmes & Initiatives
- Deepen the knowledge of Christ and make Him known while strengthening Christian fellowship among the women of the Church.
- Study the Scriptures and demonstrate the relevance of the Christian Gospel in Sri Lanka by building Christ-centred homes and actively participating in the life of the Church, the community, and the nation.
- Develop an understanding of national and global issues, promote fellowship among Christian women of all races, and work alongside women everywhere on matters of
shared concern for the well-being of society.
Abundant Life Pastoral Care & Counselling Training Course
As part of its commitment to equipping women for ministry, the All Island Methodist Women’s Fellowship introduced the Abundant Life (John 10:10) Pastoral Care & Counselling Training Course for Lay Women.
This programme equips women with Biblical knowledge and practical counselling skills to provide compassionate pastoral care within churches and communities. Through this initiative, participants are prepared to offer Christ-centred encouragement, guidance, and support, responding to the growing emotional, spiritual, and pastoral needs of individuals and families.
By investing in the training of lay women, the Fellowship continues to strengthen the Church’s ministry of care while empowering women to serve with confidence, wisdom, and Christian compassion.
