New Activities

• On 15th June, 2010 a discussion was held with intellectuals in the field of Agriculture, regarding the rights of the farmers, poverty and the problems that farmers face.

• On 5th of July, 2010, the students and teachers of the Kottaramulla Sinhala Mahavidyalaya visited the organic farm to learn about organic farming and home gardening. 50 students participated.

• On 12th of July, 2010, students and teachers from Koswatte Silaratne Mahavidyala and Thabbowa Mahavidyalaya visited Ape Koratuwa. 160 students participated.

• On 16th of July, 2010, a TV programme about organic farming and Dengue was recorded by ITN, with the participation of 60 students from Kirimatiyana Buddhist Girls' Collge and Kottaramulla Sinhala Mahavidyalaya.

• As it is a subject in the school syllabus, it is important that students learn about organic farming.
• On 5th, 6th, and 7th of August, 2010, an Agricultural Exhibition will be held with the participation of 52 students. Along with the exhibition, essay and art competitions will also be conducted.
