Three of our eminent Vice Presidents who have served the Church with much commitment and dedication entered into glory to be  with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mr H L De Silva – Vice President in the year 1977/78 was a renowned constitutional Lawyer who has served the country in many numerous  ways.  He was a man of conviction who has contributed immensely  to change the destiny of our  nation. He was a faithful leader of our Church who was  always available to meet any needs of the Church. He entered glory on 25 March 2009.

Mr Aelian Peiris was  another eminent Lawyer and  Vice President in the year 1979/80 He was a committed Local Preacher and was the driving force behind the Constitution of our  Church.  His dedication to the Church was such,  that he always had the time even to serve in committees that handled the ordinary and simple affairs of our  Church.  He was a dedicated and effective Local Preacher.  He entered glory on  18 February 2009.

Mrs S J  Anandanayagam – one time Vice Principal of Methodist College was the Vice President in the year  1987/88. She had an illustrious career as a teacher. A handsome personality, was a committed  Christian always doing her best to build up the local congregation and was  an  encouragement for all those who dared new things. She entered glory on 29 June 2009.

Rev.  Clive Thexton   who was a missionary serving in Sri Lanka  from  1941 – 43 entered glory on February 09, 2009 at the age of 94.

Mr  Lou  Adihetty one time Principal of Wesley College during the period 1984/89   entered glory on  30 July 2009.
